CMS Rules Grounding in the Dictionary Tab

Coding decisions are grounded in official CMS reference data, and a new Dictionary tab lets your team check the logic behind every line.

Written by James Smith

We're introducing a Dictionary tab so your team can easily look up the logic in official CMS reference data. The database is updated every quarter.

What's new

The coding LLM now references six CMS tables directly (MUE, NCCI PTP, Bilateral, PC/TC, PFS Status, Supervision) plus global-period data when generating coding suggestions. A deterministic compliance check runs on every output before it reaches you.

The new Dictionary sidetab surfaces that same reference data in the UI. Look up any code and see exactly what the engine sees: MUE limits, PTP edits, bilateral indicators, PC/TC splits, supervision requirements, and global periods.

Why it matters

This update improves alignment with the edits CMS actively enforces, helping reduce preventable denials and making coding reviews faster and easier to validate.

Your team can now review the same source data Ember uses, creating a more transparent and audit-defensible workflow with clear supporting logic behind every recommendation.
