  • Use human voice only for testing.

  • Position the recording device properly: Ensure the device is equidistant between you and the patient, on a flat surface , like table or chair.

  • Ensure microphone is unobstructed: Check that nothing is blocking the microphone, like pillows.

  • Confirm Ember is active and recording for the entire conversation.

  • Minimize background noise: Choose a quiet location, and close windows/doors to reduce noise.

  • Speak clearly and steadily: Maintain a steady pace to aid clarity and recording.

  • Avoid cross-talk: Ensure no overlapping speech if multiple people are present.

  • Repeat unclear patient statements: To ensure they’re captured accurately by the microphone.
